DAY 1 : Arrive at Srinagar (Height 1,585 m)

After your arrival at the Srinagar airport, our representative will extend a warm welcome and drive you to the hotel. Check-in, take some time to unwind. Post that, take a walk on the Boulevard Road catching views of the snow-capped Zabarwan Mountain Ranges. Then we take you for an hour-long shikara ride on the bewitching Dal Lake where tourists come from all over the world. In winter you will see the charm of snow in everything and everywhere. Later go shopping in Srinagar and buy items such as pashmina shawls, saffron, dry fruits, miniature houseboats, carpets, etc.

DAY 2 : Srinagar to Pahalgam (88.8 km, 2hrs and 18 mins, height 2,740 m)

Post breakfast, we will embark on the journey to Pahalgam to explore its winter charisma. On the way, you will get to see saffron fields which bloom with purple flowers during the season. As we arrive in Pahalgam, we will visit the picturesque Betaab Valley hemmed in by snow-covered mountains. This valley was named after the famous Bollywood movie Betaab which was shot here. This valley is also traversed by the beautiful Lidder River which gets frozen at some points during extreme winter. The valley is surrounded by dense forests of pine and deodar which get cloaked in snow looking mystical.

Then we will drive to Chandanwari (7 km). It is a delightful valley located at an altitude of 2,895 m. On the way you will come across partially frozen waterfalls- a sight to behold. It is also a base for the famous pilgrimage of the Hindus, Amarnath Yatra. It gets covered in snow from November to May and offers breathtaking views of glaciers melting away into River Lidder. One can enjoy sledging here.

Next is the bewitching Aru Valley at an altitude of 2,414m. Rejuvenate your senses with its sheer natural beauty during winter when it is covered everywhere with snow. During winter, it also offers skiing opportunities. One can also enjoy horse/pony riding here. It is also the starting point for trekking tours to Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake.

DAY 3 : Pahalgam to Gulmarg (3 hr 19 min, 139.6 km, height 2,650 m)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed with our representative to Gulmarg Valley, famed as the “Meadow of Flowers,”. It is sheer bliss for the snow and snow adventure enthusiasts who come here from far and wide. After reaching Gulmarg, our first destination will be the arresting Alpather Lake, which is ideally located between the Alpather twin mountains. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains offering fascinating views. It is located around 13 km from the valley. The lake remains frozen from November to June. Next, we visit the Gulmarg Biosphere Reserve whose inhabitants include rare animal species such as snow leopards, musk deer, etc. Stay overnight at the hotel in Gulmarg.

DAY 4 : Gulmarg Sightseeing

Post breakfast, we will take you to the most exciting winter attraction of Gulmarg- the Gondola Ride. It is the second-longest and highest cable ride in the world. This ride takes you to a higher altitude amidst the snow-covered mountains and if luck favours you will experience snowfall.

Another thrilling winter attraction of Gulmarg is skiing. This place turns into a skiing paradise in winter with powdery snow that attracts both amateurs and professional skiers from all over the world. Sledging is another interesting adventure activity you can enjoy here. In the evening head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 5 : Gulmarg to Srinagar airport/railway station (1 hr 15 mint, 58 km)

This marks the end of your Kashmir winter tour for 4N 5D! Our representative will drive you back to the Srinagar airport/railway station for your journey ahead.
